S4HANA 1809 Maintenance Planner

SAP recommends use maintenance planner for installing the S4HANA 1809.
SAP maintenance planner creates the XML files with support package information for installation

Click on Access Maintenance Planner




Click on "Plan for SAP S4HANA"

Select radio button "Install new SAP S4HANA" and Click Next

Provide SID & Target version and Target Stack



Click Next



Based on your Fiori deployment option you can select method for Front End server Embedded or Hub options.

I am going to install S4HANA and Fiori on same server i.e Co-deployed with Backend (Embedded Fiori Deployment)

Remove the obsolete components from the above list and then click next



Click Next



If you want to install additional addon then select “Install or Maintain an Add on” and then click next







Select OS/DB file and click confirm selection

Click next 

Click on NON – ABAP and unselect languages which you don’t want to install 

S4HANA 1809 install by default in only English and Germany language.





Click on Download Stack XML and Push to Download Basket, using download manager you can download all the DVDS and support packages generated by Maintenance planner.

Also you need to download below Files if not downloaded through Maintenance planner

5. IMDB_SERVER20_034_0-80002031.SAR - HANA Database Server
